After a long battle with super aggressive thyroid cancer, Beau Charles LeBlanc blasted off into Heaven on Jan 14, 2009. It was a shock to all of us. We feel in our hearts that it was never meant to turn out this way, however we are comforted with the truth from 2 Corinthians 5:8 To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Although he suffered more than any of us realized, Beau fought an extremely brave battle and touched countless lives all throughout the journey.
The most wonderful outcome is that Beau really came to know God in a way that was deep and genuine. He told us and others that he wouldn’t trade this whole experience for his new relationship with the Lord. And therefore, we know that he now fully embraces Philippians 1:21 If I live, it will be for Christ, and if I die, I will gain even more. It’s definitely OUR loss – not Beau’s!
Heaven is now a richer place having our son and brother there, and we look so forward to the day when we will see him again. 2 Samuel 12:23 I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
