Out of the ashes of pain, despair, disappointment, anger, sorrow, regret and heartache…there’s one thing that will NEVER change:
God’s Love
ANYTHING can change in your life – your marriage, job, lose a friend or family member, your health, your living situation, your income, (fill in the blank), but God’s love never changes. His love is constant, ALWAYS flowing and reaching out to us.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is His faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
It’s hard to explain God’s love in human terms. Our finite mind is lacking and might say, “Well, if the Lord loves me, then everything in my life should be perfect!”
Unfortunately, not everything will go perfectly in our lives and we may not understand everything until we reach Heaven. But thankfully, the power of God’s love is greater than our experiences, and is ALWAYs there to help us through them.
In Ephesians 3:18, Paul prays:
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully.
We don’t have to fully understand God’s love to experience it, thank the Lord!
Even if you question the Lord, He will never fail or abandon you.
Even if you fall into the depths of sin, He forgives you.
Even if you commit murder, adultery, fornication, lie, cheat, curse, hate…God’s love for you doesn’t change.
That’s pretty amazing, but it’s what makes Him, GOD! He IS Love – that’s what and who He is!! (Check out 1 John 4:8 & 16).
We see so many examples in scripture of the Lord’s love never stopping. Look at The Message translation of Psalm 136:23-26,
God remembered us when we were down. His love never quits.
Rescued us from the trampling boot. His love never quits.
Takes care of everyone in time of need. His love never quits.
Thank God, who did it all! His love NEVER QUITS!
Paul persecuted and consented to murdering Christians. David committed adultery and murder. Peter cursed and denied Jesus. Jonah disobeyed the Lord and ran from Hi,. Adam committed the sin that cursed the world. Abraham lied. Moses had anger issues. Solomon went after false gods.
But the Lord’s love for them never changed and He continues to use them!
You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to You. Psalm 86:5
Paul sums it up like this in Romans 8:35, 37-39:
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow – not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NLT)
No matter what you are going through or what you have done, nothing can ever separate you from His Love.
His Love Remains ABOVE EVERYTHING!
