All the best to you in this brand new year! Lamentations 3:22-26 is a great scripture to ponder at this time: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord. (NLT)
EACH DAY His love reaches out to us, covering our past and giving hope for our future. That’s a very comforting thought. Right now we get to step into a WHOLE NEW YEAR, and we can look forward with courage, welcoming new direction, wisdom, and grace to face each situation that we are to walk through. It’s a picture of how much the Lord loves us – to perpetually wipe the slate clean and give us a fresh start over and over and over again!
As we write these thoughts, we know some of you reading this letter have experienced paralyzing loss in 2010 or recent years. We understand your pain. It will be two years on January 14 that our son crossed over from Earth into Eternity. In some ways it still seems like a dream – surreal at times. But in reality, even though we can worship passionately, laugh at something funny and enjoy rich fellowship with dear friends, we still cry and are very tender and sore and contemplative.
Yet God has helped us to land on our feet and continue putting one foot in front of the other, one day at a time. So to the hurting we want to say, PLEASE don’t give up! Your heart is beginning to heal one layer at a time, and it will continue healing the rest of your life. The Lord is carrying you through this valley, and we will ALL make it THROUGH by His grace.
As we write, we are on a plane headed to the Phoenix Gospel Truth Seminar with Andrew Wommack and company, and we are looking forward to leading hundreds of hungry hearts to worship the Living God. This is always a great event each year as snow birds from around the nation migrate to the beautiful, arid Southwest to enjoy sunshine and Sonshine as we gather in His presence, to be enriched in the teaching of God’s Word and lay our adoring hearts before Him.
When we return home from this trip, we eagerly anticipate having TIME to begin pouring into the future of this ministry! There are songs to write, blogs & books to write, websites to redesign & create, young music ministers to mentor, resources to release and people to encourage in their journey. Our hearts are full of great expectation for this new season. Now that all the travel from the past several months is behind us, we can once again continue focusing on the primary purpose for God placing us at this moment in history. We covet your prayers and welcome your on-going support to help sustain us as we step back from much of our traveling to embark on these pursuits.
Words can never express the gratefulness in our hearts for your sacrifice of love to send your finances and prayers in support of this ministry. We do not take it lightly, and we are praying for you that God’s infinite, immeasurable supply will abundantly cover your every need and desire. We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH, and TOGETHER we will cover the earth with God’s Word in song!
Sincerely in Christ,
