Remembering Jesus’ humble beginning in a dirty animal trough, but then seeing Him exalted at the right hand of God in glory should give us all hope.
No matter what difficult situations you may find yourself in this Christmas, you can be assured God understands, has “been there & done that”, and He is working things out for your good to bring you into a better place.
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses,
for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.
Hebrews 4:15 NLT
While He was in that lowly place, He was still the Son of God. We too being sons and daughters of God may find ourselves in situations we don’t understand nor want to be a part of, but we must let Jesus’ experience be our encouragement.
Our present situations do not define who we are, nor do they determine our end.
Only Jesus knows the end from the beginning, and He is always working behind the scenes making a way in our wilderness and causing rivers to flow in our desserts. His plans are for prospering us and giving us hope and a future. Our part is to keep our eyes and heart focused on Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
As an encouragement this Christmas, please take this to heart – it is a major key in life:
Look for ways to be a blessing to others, even if you are in trouble.
That’s the heart of Jesus and the heart of Christmas… Giving. For God so loved the world that He gave!! Jesus gave through His pain, through the nails, even in the insults and false accusations and the hate. He still gave His life.
Let’s look for ways we can help others this Christmas, whether it be cookies to a neighbor, an invite to a Christmas play, gift boxes for the less fortunate, lending a helping hand, or even caroling in your neighborhood!
Whatever giving may look like in your world, let’s be a blessing to others because we are all SO blessed. And let’s thank God for his amazing gift…Jesus, the Gift that Keeps On Giving!
Much Love and Merry Christmas,
